LGBT Underground was founded in 2009 by EVON Scarlett 

“Being an out Hip-Hop artist myself I experienced and wanted to address the lack of specific outlets for music from the urban LGBT community.

I set out blogging to build a platform and outlet for underrepresented LGBT artists. Aiming also to show those who have misconceptions/or are not aware, that everything we feature is equal to (in many cases better than) anything else on their iPod/radar.

In the following years the blog has grown and developed into an official website which now archives film, documentaries, webseries, interviews, reviews, events and more.

The aim is to provide a source of entertainment, information and inspiration. Shining a light on urban LGBTQQIAA music and culture for the community.”
