#Album: Ambré Perkins - 'Wanderlust'
After coming across what quickly beacame my favourite song from India Ambré Perkins, 'Nintendo $hawty' on Soundcloud. I hoped to find more of the same on her 'Wanderlust' project and the eighteen year-old New Orleans-native didn't dissapoint.
Her vocal is effortless, at times even etherial over ambient Erick Bardales‘ beats. You could reasonably assume the influence of artists such as Brandy, Aaliyah, Drake and Chris Brown. Yet Ambré is still refreshingly authentic in terms of songwriting style and delivery.
