Asbury Park Representer RahRah Gabor recently released his single "Spicy" ft. Billy The PotStar. In light of the release LGBT Underground decided to catch up with him and chat about a few thangs!
LGBTU: For our readers who have never heard your music, explain your sound in 5 words: RRG: 1. Gutter
2. Nuanced (sophisticated)
3. Authentic
4. Multi-layered
5. Spicy...lol see what I did there? My music is literally an expression of my whole self. Each song I create represents the many dimensions of who RahRah Gabor truly is. LGBTU: The last time we spoke you just released the video to "The Mantra" and now you've dropped "Spicy" ft. Billy the Potstar. How did this collab come about and will there be a visual for it soon? RRG: Zamn ma, that was last summer! Lol, I know. I'm such a bird lmao. But um yea you know, after I dropped "The Mantra" I realized I still wanted to do more with the project, so I held tight to it. But in terms of "Spicy" Billy is my homie from my hood. He a real get money bitch like me, gender non conforming like me, in the streets like me, thorough like me, and a bad little bitch like me, AND could spit, I felt it was only right I put on for the city as well as for all the SPICY honies worldwide. Spicy is one of the few tracks from BNWO that im lettin go to let niggas know I'm out here. And we will most definitely be shooting a very Spicy video ASAP!
LGBTU: I know you have a project in the works "Brave New World Order" when does the mixtape drop? Is there a set date? RRG: Yes it's been a minute that I've been teasing the project now, but I been gettin' to this chedda, so I can get my shit lit the way it need to be. I could drop BNWO right now if I wanted to be hasty and rash, but I really wanna give my listeners the bestest and the freshest ya dig?! Lol. In my Weezy voice ha! But nah, on some g shit, I'm crafting a masterpiece. I can't rush it. Everything gotta be right this time. It's too many corny mothafuckas shining right now, and those of us on the underground and the internet been cookin', watchin' how niggas move and plottin'. I'm one of 'em. But as far as the project is concerned yall will definitely get it as a whole this year some time. Sooner than you think. LGBTU: What skills/personal attributes are most important to being successful? Rah Rah: Shit I don't know. I'm tryna figure it my damn self. A bitch ain't even gon' viral yet lmao, but I ain't stoppin'! If you know you a beast at what you doin, keep doin that shit FOR YOU! Eventually niggas will peep like " Oh, who shorty? Be on ya own dick and get ya own money! LGBTU: what advice do you have for fellow LGBT artists trying to breakthrough and get their music heard? RRG: Honestly, I hate that term because the advice is the same for everybody which is be yourself always! and go hard or go the fuck home. LGBTU: What can we expect from RahRah Gabor in 2016? RRG: Real shit, shit that make em feel shit, bump em in the club shit, have you wildin' out when you bump it
